Biography

Muhammad Haris is working as an Assistant Professor (Banking & Finance) at the Institute of Banking & Finance, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan Pakistan. Previously, he was associated with NFC Institute of Engineering & Technology, Multan Pakistan as Assistant Professor (Finance). He has also served two public sector Pakistani universities as visiting faculty. He also served OLP Financial Services Pakistan Ltd. (a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation Japan) in the Credit and Marketing Division. He is experienced in portfolio management, credit management, Financial Management, Corporate Finance, and analysis of financial statements. His research interests are in Financial Economics, Environmental Economics, Energy Economics, Economic Growth, Performance Evaluation, Financial Institutions, Corporate Governance and Intellectual Capital. He has published in renowned journals including Energy Utilities Policy, PLoS ONE, Strategy Reviews, Computational Economics, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Technology Analysis & Strategic Management, Economic Change and Restructuring, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, International Journal of Emerging Markets, International Journal of Financial Studies, Frontiers in Public Health, Complexity and Sustainability, among others. He holds the “Academic Editor” position in PLoS ONE, “Review Editor” position in Frontiers in Energy Research and “Article Editor” position at SAGE OPEN. Currently, he is supervising 6 Ph.D. and 5 Master Theses. He is the recipient of “Best Teacher Award” and “Dean’s Appreciation Award”. He serves on the “Reviewers Panel” of several renowned SSCI, SCI-SCIE, ESCI, and Scopus indexed along with ABDC and ABS ranked journals. He received his MBA in Banking and Finance from the Institute of Banking & Finance, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan Pakistan, and received his Ph.D. in finance from the School of Finance and Economics, Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang China.
